In this present time, there are loads of issue that we are looking in our regular day to day existence. Despite the fact that the thrive to achieve improvement has been expanded in each field, we are still lacking in few fields. In the current scenario, the most concerning issue is the issue of proper waste management. Currently, there is no precise/ accurate process to treat or handle wet and dry waste. Truly, there are numerous arrangements present for it yet because of the absence of mindfulness it couldn't be received by common citizens. So as to adress the issue and defeat the circumstance we have structured a novel model named "Rolling Composter" for the community that will be able to convert the biodegradable components into compost. This model was developed by school going children which shows the success of IEC of Swachh Bharat Mission and Chhota Bheem- Captain Clean Campaign of Bilaspur and Chhattisgarh.

Concept

The thought behind this model was to make sure that the model ought not to be excessively substantial and enormous in structure but rather it has to be portable and handy, so that it can be easily manoeuvred. The thumb rule we pursued is to keep it basic and simple so that it can be easily understand and maintained.

Process Overview

The displayed model is useful in taking care of the issue of waste administration to an expansive degree because of its simple form approach and working. For this we require a stand then we fix a plastic or wooden drum on the pole(rod) connected with the stand. The rod inside the drum is joined with 2 to 3 pairs of blade which is encased inside the drum. The rod is fixed with bearing on either side, so that the drum can be easily rotated. There is an opening window on the drum for feeding of the waste (household) and taking out the converted compost from it. This entire setup winds up is prepared for use a later. This is fundamentally made for the household kitchen waste, leaves, other biodegradable waste. We simply need to feed the kitchen waste into the drum daily and rotate the drum for 2 minutes to blend it well. Proceeding with this for 30 to 40 days we can get the compost that is rich in nutrients.
